#BlogHer Recap…Hard to Write About the Images in My Head

Last year I was jealous to an alarming degree reading tweets and posts and imagining all the fun everyone was having at #BlogHer without me. Green with envy.

Not that many people knew who I was. I had only been blogging about 6 months or so…seriously. “Seriously” means I posted more or less every couple of days and was in the throes of learning how to review products and write review/giveaway posts.

Last year, BlogHer was a stretch. BlogHer was going on while swim team was still in session. I couldn’t leave my husband at home managing swim team while I flew to Chicago. Well, I probably could have left him home alone, but…

…I had volunteered to assemble photos for the swim team end-of-season slideshow. The slideshow was created by a teen on the team…he did a great job. I was so stressed with my volunteer work that I could not possibly have gone to BlogHer. Still envious of those who went, though.

In addition to swim team photos, we planned our long-awaited and much-anticipated trip to England. I definitely could not have pulled of BlogHer, swim team volunteer assignments, and packing for a transatlantic trip.

BlogHer 09 was not to be. But, BlogHer 10 was a go!

Are you a first-time BlogHer? Did you return for a second time? Did you decide not to go back after a bad experience? Are you worried about the crowds/being away from family/the busyness? Share by leaving a comment.
