There is a nesting thing that happens at volleyball tournaments frequented by teenage girls. The girls arrive at the court with huge backpacks or duffle bags. The bag looks like a small holding device, but in reality it is the Mary Poppins carpet bag of volleyball. If you watch these girls you will see them pulling out: sleeping bags, shoes, sweatpants or pajama pants, water bottle, snacks, Nintendo DS, ipods, cell phones, books — the bigger the better…Twilight would be a good choice, and blankets. Seeing these girls pulling all this assorted junk out of their bags makes me thankful that for the most part each girl carries her own bag.
Seizing family time one dinner…game night…movie at a time.
