KaChow…Kung Fu Panda 2 [Giveaway]

As a child, I did not love Cracker Jack. I thought it was sticky. Chewy. Gooey. Too sweet. And generally blech. BUT, I loved the little tiny toy jammed down in to Cracker Jack box. I would dig my fingers in, swirl ’em around, find the toy, and lick the crummy mess off the toy or candy.

Used to be that all cereal boxes for kiddie type cereals had a small toy, now more and more boxes have just a game printed on the outside of the box OR some convoluted, overly complicated “cut-this-redemption-form-and-collect-two-and-a-half-proofs-of-purchase-and-send-a-stamped-addressed-envelope-in-to-receive-a-coupon.” My kids get excited about a game printed on the outside of a box, but anything that requires collecting this or that and mailing it to a P.O. Box is not appealing to them.

This spring kids will get the chance to find a treat in their cereal box. Throughout the spring, spin fighter toys featuring Kung Fu Panda 2 characters including Po, Tigress, Shifu, Monkey, Lord Shen, Mantis, Crane, and Viper can be found inside specially marked boxes of participating General Mills cereals:

  • Cocoa Puffs® (11.8 oz.)
  • Trix® (10.7 oz.)
  • Golden Grahams® (12 oz.)
  • Reese’s Puffs® (13 oz.)
  • Cheerios® (14 oz.)
  • Apple Cinnamon Cheerios® (12.9 oz.)
  • Cookie Crisp® (11.25 oz.)
  • Lucky Charms® (11.5 oz.)
  • Cinnamon Toast Crunch (12.8 oz.)
  • Honey Nut Cheerios (12.25 oz.).

Each box contains one spin fighter toy — more than one kid in the house…you might want to buy two boxes. Just saying! Not that the Musings from Me kids would ever squabble over a spin fighter…no, not my kids!

Kids can cut out the targets on the box and then use a spin fighter to try and knock them down. With eight character toys to collect, the Kung Fu fun can continue all summer long!

    Something funny from when I was a kid, my Mom left me for 2 minutes to go to the bathroom, but I used my time wisely to cut my little sisters hair. I put the hair I cut in the bag of onions and my mom came back and said, did you cut your sisters hair? I said no. She looked everywhere for the hair but could not find it. Finally a week later when she reached for an onion, she found the hair, and boy was I in trouble!
