$5 per tooth. Yes, that is what parents in my community give per tooth in the guise of the Tooth Fairy. Isn’t $5 a little excessive? $5 x the number of teeth a child will lose x number of children in family = too much money.
We give $1 per tooth regardless of size. We gave $1 for first tooth and will give $1 for last tooth. I got $0.25. My husband cannot remember what he got.
I have a 7th grader who obviously does not believe in tooth fairy. I told her if she questioned the TF’s existence in front of her brother or sister she would not get any money. She goes with the plan and likes finding the dollar. I want to keep the charade going for my 5-year-old.
So, how much do you give per tooth?
we give $5 for the FIRST tooth, then a dollar from then on. with four kids i’d have to refinance my house to give that much for all of them!
My kids don’t care about the tooth fairy and would rather keep their teeth to play with. Gross, but we don’t even have to figure out the $ issue.
We haven’t lost any teeth here in our house, the kids are too young. I’m thinking $1 is plenty enough when the time comes. My daughter has no concept of how much things cost so she will be happy with what we give her : ).
