I am on a roll today. I’m all Curious George all the time. But, can you blame me? He is the cutest monkey ever seen. So say my kids and I agree. We had a chance to review an advance copy of Curious George 2 the other week.
My tween and 6-year-old watched it. I am constantly surprised at my tween and teen. Both would not watch preschool TV for all the tea in China, but bring out Curious George — both will happily watch. In fact, I put the DVD on while the teen was at volleyball practice.
The teen walked in the door from practice. She was so MAD that we started without her! In a few minutes she was engrossed in the movie. She forgot her troubles until the next in justice inflicted upon her. Life with teens is not for the faint of heart!
All three kids loved Curious George 2: Follow That Monkey. I love when I find a movie that a 6-year-old, 11-year-old, and 14-year-old can enjoy. It’s not easy…I can tell you!
Curious George 2: Follow That Monkey has George going on a cross-country journey to reunite Kayla, a homesick elephant with her family. Curious George and The Man with the Yellow Hat set out on a madcap adventure with Kayla. This unlikely trio faces all types of comic calamities and colorful characters and in the end, learn that with family, friends and determination, you can achieve anything. Speaking of the voice talent… My kids did not notice, but my husband and I did. As soon the museum director spoke his first line, we noticed that it is no longer Dick van Dyke. I think it is Jerry Lewis?? I wonder why the change in actors?
