I met a friend yesterday at Indian restaurant–Bombay Peacock Grill. I had not seen her since we both survived a hellatious graphics class in the spring. She is continuing in the graphic design program. I am evaluating my options. I enjoyed her company at the restaurant, but could have done without the roaches in the restaurant. Yes, you read that correctly there were roaches crawling on the window…we saw at least five. The kicker…there was one crawling on my seat. Check, please!
The food was good. I’m no expert on Indian cuisine, but I had several tasty selections from the buffet bar. The sauces were delicious. However, I could never go back to a restaurant with a roach infestation problem.
Years ago when I worked in D.C. I would read the Washington Post restaurant closing section. I wanted to know which restaurants had roaches, rats, or no running water. I will have to start reading that section in the paper again.
OMG…i would have died. did you tell the manager?
I told two people who worked at the restaurant. One told me the roaches were outside the window…they were inside. The other ignored us and asked us why we were leaving before getting dessert. Not good customer service.
LOL they actually tried to tell you they were on the outside? did they think that you might be blind? guess you won’t be going back there. you should have said (in your haughtiest tone) “i WILL be discussing this on my blog”:) that’ll show em
I did tell my friend that I would do a writeup on my blog. Not sure the guy would have cared!
Get out of the city. ROACHES crawling around. OH MY GOODNESS. I have seen roaches galore in homes I visit as a social worker, but thank heavens I have never seen one in a restaurant. That would freak me out.
I always wanted to take a graphic design class. I think you are so cool : )!
