I was in a morning carpool, an afternoon, carpool, a sports carpool, and an assortment of other carpools. Seriously, I was never at home. I was hardly out of my minivan. Last year was an extraordinary year. From driving many, many miles to new schools, last year was one for the record books. Enter the carpool. I had little experience with carpools. All I knew is that I needed to find one…stat. And find one I did. Except it was actually two carpools…one morning and one afternoons. The afternoon carpool was very convoluted, but really the morning carpool was no better. I had a veritable database of names, emails, and cell phones in my phone for every parent who drove carpool and every girl who I drove. It was a quite a list!
While my databank of phone numbers was a lifesaver, I spend a large amount of time tracking down the girls and the parents who were driving.
