Romano’s Macaroni Grill Restaurant Favorites: Giveaway

I may have mentioned that I am a lousy cook. I burn rice. I burn garlic bread. I regularly lose track of what I am doing and..you guessed it…burn something. Cooking from scratch is problematic for me since I have this notion that I am a Top Chef contestant who can throw three or four ingredients together and voila! the dinner is served. Except, did I mention I burn everything? So, cooking from scratch is not for me, but cooking from a box kit is a much better fit for me. Less chance to ruining the meal.

When I heard about a new type of meal kit I was intrigued. With the new line of dinner kits inspired by the chefs at Romano’s Macaroni Grill, you can now easily make four classic Italian meals at home. With quick and easy preparation, a Romano’s Macaroni Grill Restaurant Favorites meal is ready to eat in about 20 minutes. The dinner kits include everything needed to create a high-quality meal in one box including premium ingredients such as such as vine-ripened tomatoes, select cooking wines, specialty herbs and 100% semolina pasta. All you have to do is add one pound of chicken or your choice of proteins such as shrimp or Italian sausage.
I made the Chicken Alfredo with Linguine — it was delicious. For our family of 5 I used two of the Macaroni Grill Restaurant Favorites boxes, with chicken. My picky-est eater loved it!
Varieties of Romano’s Macaroni Grill Restaurant Favorites dinner kits include:
  • Garlic & Herb Chicken Penne
  • Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken & Pasta
  • Chicken Alfredo with Linguine
  • Chicken Marsala with Linguine
You can have a chance to win the What’s for Dinner gift basket that I reviewed (3 winners will be chosen):
  • a sample of the Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken Pasta variety
  • three coupons for the other varieties the next time you visit your local grocer
  • a colander
  • serving spoon
  • cheese grater
For a chance to win one of the 3 What’s for Dinner gift baskets, let me know what your biggest struggle is with preparing dinner for your family. My struggle is that I have a hard time budgeting my meal preparation time — always seem to run out of time.

My wife cooks for our family and she is tremendously good at it. My challenge comes when I try to give her a break and handle the meal… since it is not my forte, we end up with something easy like mac and cheese or frozen pizza…

I hate deciding what to make. I either don’t have what I need or don’t want what I have. Sigh…
