Kids Through Teens: Maryland Science Center Has It All

I blog about finding activities that a kid, a preteen, and a teen will enjoy. It’s a tall order. Some days it is impossible. Other days it is easy as pie to find an activity fun for all.

In the spring we spent Spring Break working, working, and working. We had several highlights in among the working…my youngest turned 7. We had lunch at Johnny Rockets. Played at the Lego Store. Jumped at an indoor bounce place. Fun for all.

As Spring Break drew to a close, I wanted to spend our last full day doing an activity fun for all ages. While my husband was at work, the three kids and I ventured to the Maryland Science Center.

Back when my teen was 7 we started a new birthday tradition for our children. We added a family outing of the birthday child’s choosing. We took our 7- and 5-year-old to the Maryland Science Center the year I was pregnant with our son.

We have visited the Maryland Science Center for a full day of fun, a school field trip, or Fridays After Five. It’s a good place for kids, preteens, and teens.

Over Spring Break we explored all areas of the Maryland Science Center. We trekked from the GPS exhibit to the much-loved Dinosaur exhibit. Our teen had a blast exploring the Your Body: The Inside Story. Our preteen and kid always have a blast in Newton’s Alley.
