The Mom on the Run Family is a books family. We have bookshelves in every room except the three bathrooms. Mom on the Run is not a fan of reading books in the bathroom…it’s gross I’m just saying.
My children each got a beautiful pine bookshelf with their name carved on the front of the top shelf from my parents. I love this shelf. Each child has the books for his or her age range/reading level. Once a child outgrows a range of books I will move the books to the next room down. Adventure Boy currently has Crafty Daughter’s Magic Tree House books and Sporty Daughter’s Junie B. Jones books. Crafty Daughter is all about Twilight. Sporty Daughter likes the Beacon Street Girls books.
I perusing Sassy Momma’s site (www.sassy-momma.blogspot.com) and found out about a Poingo giveaway on The Classy Closet (www.Theclassycloset.ning.com). Poingo is an interactive book targeted for children ages 3-7. This book is an interactive experience for kids learning to read or even those who read the pictures. The child can click on parts of the book to learn cool facts, cool songs to dance along to, fun games and of course a great story that your child can read along to.
Visit The Classy Closet starting Friday 12/5 to enter for your chance to win the starter set shown including Finding Nemo book and Cars books with the Poingo pointer. This set retails for $34.99. Additional books are only $9.99!
I got Poingo for my 5 yr old daughter for Xmas. I think it looks really neat, although I am wondering about my almost 3 yr old- they will probably fight over the darn thing.
Thank you SO much for the shout out!
There is a great children’s book called “Other People’s Shoes.” It teaches the value of kindness. It is the kind of books that parents love to read their children because it has a great storyline and teaches great values.
