Was it only over a week ago that I was in Asheville?? Seems like only yesterday that I got up at the crack o’ dawn to drive back home. In actuality it was over a week ago. I had been at the TypeAParent Conference with a host of other bloggers. I was invigorated from all that the conference had to offer, but at the same time anxious to get home to my family.

The drive home was long. I knew it would be. My three driving companions and I decided to wake up at 6 a.m. We had kids, husbands, work, summer camps to get back to, so we needed to get on the road early. The four of us met in the hotel lobby. We were bleary eyed. 6 a.m. is early!

We drove through NC, TN, WV, VA, and finally MD. Somewhere along the way we stopped at a Walmart for a pain reliever. While in Walmart, we spotted a Subway. A stop for lunch was definitely in order. That miniature Subway was a sight for sore eyes.

Subway was a great choice for four hungry bloggers. The choice at Subway was surprising. I hadn’t realized that you could order breakfast all day. While I didn’t have the flatbread sandwich…it looked yummy. I had my usual footlong all veggies, no olives sandwich. One of our group had the new Avocado sandwich. I will definitely try the avocado next time I stop at Subway. Actually, the avocado would be a good…and healthy option…for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

And to top it off I was able to pay for all four of our lunches with a Subway gift card! The new Subway cards can be reloaded for convenience. Great teacher’s gift. Each card can be used for reward points, too. Now I have a treat for you my loyal readers…you can win a Subway gift card!
