I’m all about quick, easy, and tasty. Especially when it comes to dinner. Dinner is a key event in our home. We like to eat together as a family. Every night. But the reality is that I have a couple of teens. Teens who come home from school ravenous, starving, hungry, and ready to eat anything in sight.
Dinner comes early some nights. Uh I mean evenings. And I really mean afternoons. As soon as the two older ones come through the door, it’s business.

My daughter loves Chef Boyardee. It’s her go-to snack. She likes all varieties. It got me thinking about Chef Boyardee.
I was recently sent a party kit. Part of the party was to sample Chef Boyardee favorites with friends. Another part was making something new from Chef Boyardee.
Before the party I set up a cooking station. The plan was to make mini casseroles with ingredients and Chef Boyardee. I put the following ingredients in bowls on the counter:
- mozzarella cheese
- Velveeta cheese
- noodles
- tomato soup
- carrots and potatoes
- Chef Boyardee Mini Ravioli
- Chef Boyardee Ravioli
We made one casserole with Mini Ravioli as the base ingredient and the other with Ravioli as the base. We had fun added ingredients to each dish. My son was adamant that he only wanted mozzarella cheese in one casserole. I mixed the two cheeses in the other casserole. Baked both for about 30 minutes. The result a yummy concoction of good ole favorite Chef Boyardee mixed in with some favorite foods.
Chef Boyardee introduced us five new recipes that feature Chef Boyardee as the main ingredient earlier this year. Now you can participate by entering the Chef Boyardee Make it Boydeelicious Recipe Contest. Enter the Make it Boyardeelicious Recipe Contest on the Chef Boyardee Facebook page for a chance to win a grand prize of free groceries for a year.
Each week, a winner will be chosen based on creativity, all-family appeal, ease of preparation, and palatable appeal by an expert panel of judges. The weekly winner receives a $500 prize as well as $75 in Chef coupons.
I wrote this review while participating in a In Home Party campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Chef Boyardee and received product samples to facilitate my party and review, and a promotional item to thank me for participating.
