The Junior League of Washington is offering a $10,000 scholarship for Washington, D.C., high school seniors. Formed in 1982, the 2023-2024 Meg Graham Scholarship was established by the late Reverend Margaret M. “Meg” Graham, a former president of the Association of Junior Leagues International and former member of JLW. The Rev. Graham, herself a beneficiary of academic scholarships, was renowned for her commitment to social justice. Today, this scholarship honors her dedication to serving others by awarding it to a high school senior who has shown exceptional leadership and volunteerism.
“Reverend Graham was an incredible leader in our community, attributing academic scholarships to providing her with opportunities she wouldn’t have otherwise had,” said JLW President, Kimberly Price. “This scholarship represents one of the ways the JLW fosters pathways to opportunity across the greater Washington, D.C. area. It is an honor each year to continue her legacy by awarding a scholarship in her name.”
Applications for the 2023-2024 Meg Graham Scholarship are due 3/1/2024 by 11:59 p.m. EST. Your high school senior must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 5.0 scale and a record of volunteer leadership and commitment to continued volunteer leadership. I have 2 college graduates and one current college student, but maybe your high school senior would be interested in applying?
