Short and sweet. What Works for Me is that even though we have various gaming systems and handheld devices and DVDs in our house, my 5-year-old can still have fun with a cardboard box. He took that box in to our hallway, rustled around in it, and walked in to the kitchen with his body almost completely encased in the box. I saw what he was doing, but did not say anything. He was so stealthy and ninja-like with his moves I did not have the heart to say anything to him. He thought he was completely hidden by the box. I was not about to spoil his fantasy. I quickly hushed my daughters who were about to say something. No, he needed to be 5 for one more day.
