When I was last in an office…literally in another century. I was a cubicle dweller. I longed for a window, but had to make do with craning my neck to get a glimpse of natural light. I worked a short drive from home. I did Happy Hour with friends. I was married but with no kids. Carefree and barely a care in the world.
Contrary to how I dress now, I was actually a bit of a snappy dresser. I had scarves and belts that matched. Outfits that coordinated. And then I left corporate life. I ditched a cubicle and dress clothes for a home office and sweats. And my wardrobe went from snappy to dull as dishwater. Out of necessity I have to have a couple of nice outfits for business or conferences, but for the most part I live in exercise clothes. Let’s not talk about how often I exercise…ahem. While I buy workout clothes and business clothes fairly regularly, there is one area of my wardrobe that is sorely lacking. And that is…ahem…undergarments…ahem. While I will buy blouses and pants from time to time, I am very sluggish about replacing bras and panties.
About two years ago, I finally replaced the saggy, baggy bras with a set of bras that fit very well. From the moment I wore the new bras, my whole posture changed. I was a new person…standing tall…not slouching. And it’s not only bras that need replacing regularly. You should take a close look at your underwear. Ask yourself the following questions:
- Do the panties fit?
- Check the size…have you lost weight or gained since you purchased last?
- And the condition of the panties. Holey? Threadbare? Practically a dishrag?
I’m likely to wear panties and bras far longer than I should. Once I buy new undergarments, I feel so much more put together. Though no one can see these garments, I can feel the fit, the renewed elasticity, and that there are no rips or snags or tears. It’s like a new lease of life courtesy of brand new undergarments!
Recently, I met a custom fit specialist from Barely There. I met Barely There at a blogging event. After chatting for a few minutes about what Barely There has to offer, she offered to do a custom fitting. A few weeks later, I received a package containing samples of Barely There bras, panties, and a shaping garment.
While the Barely There bras don’t come in my size, I was able to share both bras with my teens. The Barely There panties were a great fit on me. I love the smoothness of the Hipster. The colors added a bit of pep to my step!
I’m excited to announce that I am a Barely There Ambassador! Since I like what I see of Barely There so far, I want to share with you what I know about Barely There:
