You can never have too many fancy dresses and dress up dresses! My daughters always wore two dresses on Easter and any other special occasions. On special holidays, they wore the dress bought by my parents, then before leaving my parents’ house I would do a quick change in to the dress purchased by my husband’s parents. Everyone was happy. Plus I brought a long a spare dress for spills. My girls stopped wearing dresses by 1st grade (or at least mine did), but the dress phase was a fun one!
And once she was a toddler, and then a preschooler, I bought special occasion dresses…and even dress up dresses…a size or two bigger for the phase (and it was a long one for one of my girls) where she only wanted to wear the blue dress and wouldn’t wear any other dress. I wish I had purchased certainof the same dress in larger sizes, but alas I did not. Instead I had to sneak the dress out of the closet and hope she didn’t notice…she ALWAYS noticed!
Another favorite type of dress was the Disney Princess dress up dresses. Long flowing dresses, delicate high heeled shoes, tiaras, wands, and more!
