As a child, I had perhaps one Christmas where I didn’t get the present I wanted. I was upset, but moved on. I didn’t dwell too heavily as a kid. I quickly forgot about the gift I wanted and happily played with the gifts I received.
As an adult, I really don’t need anything. If I want a new pair of shoes, I will buy them. If I have my eye on a new book, I will pick it up on my nook or the next time I am at Target or Costco. But, my family likes to buy me presents. The kids love seeing my reaction as I open my gifts. I love the gifts whether the gifts are made at school or purchased from Walmart.
I’m sure many of you have given blank looks to relatives who have asked you what you want. Like me, you probably have what you need. And like me, you prefer giving gifts to receiving them. I love seeing the look on my kids’ faces as they unwrap the gift they very much want.
This holiday season, like me, you are scrambling trying to find the perfect gift for everyone on your lists. Have you thought about giving someone the gift of peace of mind? I’m excited to tell you about a way to protect yourself or your loved ones this holiday season. You can protect your loved one by buying them a LifeLock membership.
Last month, I was contacted LifeLock. Lifelock wanted me to try out Lifelock. I wanted to learn more about how to protect my identity through a subscription to the primary LifeLock service. I also have an additional subscription to give away to one very lucky reader. Read on for more information about the giveaway. Note: LifeLock memberships are for U.S. Residents only.
The LifeLock membership includes:
- Alerts of potential threats–both credit and noncredit related.
- Online access to a personalized dashboard showing current threats.
- Relentless monitoring for exposure of your personal information.
- Member services with local phone support—24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
- Stolen or lost wallet remediation services to help cancel and replace credit and debit cards.
- Comprehensive recovery services if you become a victim of identity theft on our watch.
Last Thursday night, after the children were all in bed, I created my Lifelock account. First, I was asked for my name, address, email, and date of birth, phone number, and social security number. I know that my information is secure on Lifelock’s secure online member portal.
After adding my information, and my husband’s, I entered our financial information. So that Lifelock can effectively monitor my identity, I was asked to provide my bank accounts, credit card accounts, driver’s license, and insurance information. Once all my information was added, I paid and that was it. The process was very straightforward.
Lifelock is not only a credit monitoring service, it is also a service that will protect your personal information using a combination of data surveillance techniques and member service. The Lifelock 5 Points of Protection are:
- Monitoring your identity.
- Scanning for identity threats.
- Responding to Identity Theft.
- Guaranteeing Lifelock’s Services.
- Tracking Your Credit Score.
Want to win a 1-year Lifelock subscription? I have one for one lucky reader of this blog. Just enter on the Rafflecopter giveaway form below.
The Lifelock 5 Points of Protection are designed to provide “relentless protection” to Lifelock members 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. I logged in to the secure online Lifelock account just now and found that I had no new alerts or reports. This is good news since I have done a ton of online shopping recently.
The Lifelock Plan is $10 per month or $110 per year. You can upgrade to the Lifelock Ultimate ($25 per month or $275 per year) to access alerts such as:
- Public records.
- Annual credit reports and scores.
- Monthly credit score tracking.
I was given a 1-year Lifelock Plan Subscription as compensation for this post. The views expressed in this post are my own. This giveaway is open to residents in the Continental U.S. only. The giveaway ends December 24, 2012, at 12:00 a.m. EST. I follow the tenets of Blog With Integrity.
