Have you ever said a word not once but maybe 10-15 times? Each time you say the word, you are careful to say it correctly as it is a new word. You want to get it right. Recently, I was asked to help get the word out about a new store in my local mall. The store is all about accessorizing. I was talking to my husband about the new store and said “The teen and I are going to XSRE this weekend for the XSRE Girl Casting Call.” Without missing a beat, my husband said “Oh, that’s clever…XSRE is Accessories.” I said nothing. I literally hadn’t realized that XSRE was the texting-like abbreviation for Accessories. I was dumbstruck. It’s funny because I was trying so hard to get the store name right, but never noticed what the store name meant.
This past weekend my teen daughter and I ventured Westfield Mall in Annapolis, MD. We were there for an event…a very special event. XSRE had just opened in Maryland and the store was holding a Casting Call to find the next XSRE Girl. A winner will be announced very soon. While we were at the store, teens and young women were arriving to do the casting call. I saw girls trying on necklaces, sweaters, scarves, and shoes. I couldn’t persuade my teen to give the casting call a shot. She would have been great!
What is XSRE?
XSRE is a new store for you to showcase your fashion and style with shoes and boots, bags and purses, scarves and hats, bangles and bracelets, and so much more. My teen spent over an hour looking, trying on, and then buying some really cute items. She purchased a pair of short boots with buckles on the side, a pair of blue jeggings, two blouses, and a stylus for her iPhone.My older teen couldn’t be with us as she had volleyball practice, but I texted her about 10 photos of various items. She was excited to get a glimpse of what XSRE had to offer. I promised to bring her back to shop.

What Is the XSRE Casting Call?
A XSRE Girl will chosen at the Casting Call at each XSRE store. Each XSRE Girl will:
- receive a 6-month modeling contract
- be featured on XSRE.com’s site and in XSRE ads
- receive an all-expense paid trip to New York for photo shoots
- receive a monthly $100 XSRE Gift Card
The XSRE Casting Calls will take place at the following stores:
- December 9, 2012 — Sunday — Woodbridge XSRE
- December 15, 2012 — Saturday — Buckland XSRE
All XSRE Casting Calls will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. at all locations.
